For over 10 years Now Playing Podcast has put out ad-free movie reviews. For over 7 years, 350+ weeks, Now Playing Podcast has released a podcast for free every single week, with no breaks. Including bonus shows, there are usually 55 or more new Now Playing podcasts put out free, annually on our main feed for our awesome listeners.
But what is free for the you to download is not free for us to make. We are a private podcast with no sponsors or advertisers. To keep the show going at the pace and quality we do, we rely solely on your support. Without donations from listeners like you Now Playing couldn't stay on the air.

Equipment Upgrades
Our site seems to continually need more power to not crash as we release new podcasts. Plus we have it seems a never-ending string of equipment replacements from microphones to cans to cords. Help us keep the show sounding is very best, and our site strong!
Weekend of Release Reviews
In 2017 there are over 25 new movies we are looking at reviewing. For 3 people per movie and an average of $15 per ticket, that's $1,125 in movie ticket costs alone.

Additional Reviews on the Blog
The Now Playing hosts aren't just podcasters, they are also writers with their upcoming book of movie reviews. If we reach this goal we can focus on bringing more written reviews to you through our blog--a minimum of two per month! Lots will be on new releases but also some host favorites!
MONTHLY Bonus Shows for Patrons
We are already providing bonus shows for patrons, but if we could possibly hit this goal we would double it! We would produce a minimum of 12 bonus reviews for our $10 or higher patrons annually! That's an average of a bonus show every month! (Plus the Tuesday shows we put out for free, thanks to patrons like you!)
Total Web Site Redesign
Good web designers are not cheap! We would love to have an even more modern web site with commenting, Facebook integration, responsive design for both mobile and desktop devices. But this will take a lot of time as all the information for our shows has to be migrated, and the site needs to be designed and built. We are too busy making the shows to do it ourselves, but if we hit this goal then in a few months we would be able to hire professionals to bring our site up to 2017!
Double the Podcasts!
If we were able to hit this lofty goal we could actually look at making Now Playing full time. That would mean two shows put on the main feed every week, with the quality and research you've come to expect from us!

Did a search for Tron: Legacy reviews on iTunes after seeing the movie in the theater back in 2010. Been listening ever since. Big fan. I try to watch all the movies you cover but some I admittedly do skip. The only shows you’ve guys done that I’ll never listen to are Human Centipede ones.
